Picture of the Day: chasing waterfalls

Today we visited Multnomah Falls, the second highest year-round waterfall in America (no idea what the first highest is, sorry). Conveniently, it’s located less than an hour from our house and as you can see, at 627 feet, it’s only bleedin’ massive. But, like the outdoorsy little troopers we are, we climbed all the way to the top. Don’t believe me? Here’s the proof, oh skeptical one:

Argh! That picture gives me the scaredsies. I have an irrational fear of heights and I hate myself for it.

All in all, a nice day out, despite the fact that Milo threw up in the car and then ate it. You can’t have everything, I suppose.

  1. [the highest waterfall is in CA]

you are soooo lucky to live that close to the columbia river gorge! the waterfalls there are to DIE FOR and you are so close to the best hiking in america! we’ve been out there twice in the last 3 yrs. definitely check out silver falls state park (south of there) and do the trail of 10 falls. soooo great!
